How did you start your fitness journey?
I’m 33 with 2 little boys aged 6 and 8. I started my fitness journey properly after having my youngest son.
I put on 5 stone in weight and felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I tried every fad diet going until I found a coach who showed me the right direction and how to understand training and nutrition. My love and passion for fitness and nutrition grew from there. I then went on to compete in 4 welsh bodybuilding competitions, leading to qualification to compete at the British finals.
I wanted to help as many women as I could to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin by teaching them how to maintain a sustainable nutrition programme. I then opened a small women’s only gym in my local area. I want to create a place where women can go and train in complete confidence that they’re not feeling judged or watched.
What do you love most about your job?
My favourite thing about my job is making women feel good about themselves and changing the way they feel, act and think about food and training.
What is your favourite cheat meal?
My favourite cheat meal would be a Domino’s.
What is your favourite quote or saying?
What doesn’t challenge you, doesn’t change you.
What Would you say to anyone looking to get started in the industry?
My advice to anyone wanting to start in this business is to invest in yourself. Learn as much as you possibly can and have a genuine love for what you do.
